Mr. Hilbert Tucker entered into eternal life in route to Kershaw County Medical Center. Hilbert was born August 15, 1943 and departed his earthly body on Monday, June 18, 2012. He was the son of Zoelmore Tucker and the Late Hozie Mitchell. He received his education through the Kershaw County School System. He united in Holy Matrimony to Bertha Hill Tucker, August 15, 1991.

Hilbert was employed at Carolina Ceramics in Columbia, SC for 29 years. He did not make himself a stranger to anyone. He loved people and liked to have himself some fun.

Hilbert was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, Columbia, SC for a number of years on the Trustee Board. He decided to move his membership closer to home at Green Hill Baptist Church. As an active member, he served as Chaplain of the Brotherhood Ministry until death.

Hilbert was preceded in death by his father, Hozie Mitchell; a father-in law, William Clinton Wiggins; five brothers; Arthur Mitchell, William Mitchell, Hozie Mitchell Jr., Johnny Mitchell, and Gilbert Tucker, four sisters; Inez Harrison, Roberta Coleman, Valencia Tucker, and Lillian Tucker.

Hilbert leaves to cherish, loving and fond memories a loving, devoted wife, Bertha H. Tucker of the home; a precious mother, Zoelmore Tucker of Lugoff, SC; a son, Norman Eric Hill and a grandson, Norman Avery Hill, both of East Orange, NJ; a mother-in-law, Eartha Wiggins of Rembert, SC; six brothers, Wilbert (Easter) Tucker, Henry (Albina) Tucker, Marvin (Yvette) Tucker, all of Lugoff, SC; Ivan (Sadie) Tucker of Cassatt, SC; James Mitchell of Columbia, SC and Leon Mitchell of Brooklyn,NY; ten sisters; Reatha Bell McKenney of Florence, SC, Mary (Johnny) Thomas, Veronica Tucker, Loretta (Nathaniel) McKenney and Cynthia (Lee Otis) Wise all of Lugoff, SC, Bernice Harrison, Harriett Harrison and Thelma (Charlie) Sanderson all of Columbia, SC, Annette Love and Henrietta Mitchell both of Brooklyn, NY; one aunt, Willie Pauline Belton of Elgiin, SC; six sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in law and a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.
