Funeral services celebrating the life of Henry Stewart (H.S.) Glover, 86, of Camden, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, January, 1, 2012 at Rowan Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Phillip McCoy officiated. The family received friends at Rowan Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials may be made in Mr. Glover's memory to Rowan Presbyterian Church, 818 Ridgeway Rd., Lugoff, S.C. 29078.

Born in Walterboro, he was the son of the late Henry S., Sr. and Agnes Kearse Glover. Mr. Glover was a member of Rowan Presbyterian Church of Lugoff where he served as a Deacon, Elder and Elder Emeritus. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Glover served in the 4th Marine Division in the South Pacific from 1943 to 1946. He was in the retail hardware business for 42 years and was co-owner of Doar-Glover Hardware in Camden, SC. He also worked part time in the warehouse at McLean Trucking in Lugoff. He was a member of the Kershaw County Rescue Squad and Camden Fire Department for 30 years. Mr. Glover was a member of the American Legion Post 17, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, SC Fireman's Association, Camden Gideons, the marine Corps League and he was a Scout Master.

Surviving are his only daughter, Nancy Glover Cash of Camden; grandsons, Michael S. Cash, Jr. (Missy) of Camden and Robert S. "Robbie" Cash of Camden; great granddaughters, Megan Elizabeth Cash and Makayla Stephanie Cash; sister, Lillie Glover McLeod of Columbia and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Glover was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ollie Mae Stokes Glover and his son-in-law, Michael S. Cash, Sr.
