Jack Wesley Wright, 79, of Danville, VA, died March 2, 2016. He was born May 31, 1936 in Tulsa, OK. He was the son of the late Kenneth Lloyd Wright, Sr. and Reba Maria Ermey Wright. His brother Kenneth Lloyd Wright, Jr. preceded him in death.

He is survived by Mary Christina Thorburn Wright, his wife of 57 years. Also surviving him are a son Dr. Edward Thorburn Wright (Cynthia) of Danville, VA and a son Dr. Andrew Beard Wright (Ann) of Little Rock, AR. Also surviving are grandchildren Elizabeth Margaret Wright, William Wesley Wright, and Kaylin Christina Wright. He is also survived by a sister Erma Kay Wright Knapp of Tulsa, OK.

He received a BS in chemical engineering and a MS in refinery engineering from the University of Tulsa. He was a project engineer at General Electric Silicone Products, Waterford, NY. He was assistant plant manager at Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, El Dorado, AR. He was senior research engineer for 38 years at E.I. DuPont Company, Camden, SC.
