A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jacqueline Anne “Jackie” King, 87, of Camden, SC, was held at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Pickett Wall officiated. The family requests in lieu of food or flowers, memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020. 

Jacqueline died Saturday, November 25, 2017. She was born in Boston MA, the daughter of the late Bertram Cholet and Audrey Lucille Lance Cholet. Jacqueline was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and was a licensed Eucharistic Lay Minister for 25 years. She was a member of Chapter 30 Peace River DeSota County, Florida Order of the Eastern Star, an elected school board member of Monroe-Woodbury Central School District, NYS, a member of Columbia Duplicate Bridge Club and Camden Duplicate Bridge Club, a Bronze Life Master. Jacqueline graduated from Florida Southern with an Associate’s Degree, retired after 30 years as a Paralegal and was an honorary lifetime member of National PTA.

Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lee King; son, Leland Hoyt King; grandchildren, Rebecca Lee, Russell Forrest, Peter Jeffrey and Michaela Lee; two great-granddaughters; brother, Gregory Lance Cholet; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband, Donald C. King and her son, Clark Jeffrey King.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
