A celebration of life service honoring the life of James Miller Collins, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
Mr. Collins passed away July 18, 2015 at his home in Wagener, Souith Carolina. Born in Asheville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Nicholas Edwin Collins, Sr. and Ruth Miller Collins. Mr. Collins served in the United States Air Force, and was a retired Electrical Engineer. He attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wagener.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Collins of the home; son Roy Collins (Kim) of Camden; daughter Debbie Jordan (Bill) of Camden; son Ron (Gwen) of Fountain Inn; daughter Dena Horton (Darrell) of Bethune; stepsons John Watts of Missouri and Bryan Watts of Wagener; brother Nick Collins (Catherine) of Camden and Loren Collins (Marilyn) of North Myrtle Beach. He is also survived by 14 grandchildrten; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Collins was predeceased by his infant daughter, Dawn Collins and two grandchildren, Nicholas Jordan and Cheri Collins. He was also predeceased by his brother Lane Collins, nephew Andy Collins and Patricia Vaughn, the mother of his five children.
