Memorial services to celebrate the life of Jane Grantham Brady, 91, of Camden, SC, will be held at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church in Camden. Rev. Steve Patterson and Rev. David Weaver will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church, NAMI, 303 Monarch Court, Charleston, SC 29414 or The Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Jane Grantham Brady was born on July 16, 1921 in Birmingham, AL, the daughter of the late Carl Lee and Elma Mason Grantham. She married Everett P. Brady on May 20, 1944 in Birmingham just before he left for the South Pacific during WWII. Jane graduated from Montevallo College, Montgomery, AL, with a degree in Home Economics. She and Everett moved to Camden in 1951 with DuPont.

Jane was a homemaker, talented seamstress, beautiful knitter and often made caps and blankets for newborns. Jane volunteered at Kershaw County Medical center for many years and was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church since moving to Camden. Jane and Everett enjoyed traveling with friends and loved her family and took great pride in the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jane is survived by one son, Richard "Dick" Brady (Sandra) of Lugoff, SC; daughters, Ann Brady Pearce (John) of Austin, TX, Marilyn "Bitsy" Brady Shaw (Ed) of Wilmington, NC, and Carol Brady Sanders (David) of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Massalon Stimpson (Mark) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Deborah Massalon Cawthon of Matthews, NC, Logan A. Pearce of Austin, TX, Rebecca D. Brady of Manning, SC, Kayla Brady Shoemake (Byron) of Camden, SC, and Patrick and Ryan Sanders of Suwanee, GA; great-grandchildren, Ben and Jayna Cawthon of Matthews, NC and Brady and Henry Shoemake of Camden, SC; and her faithful companion "Skeeter".

Besides her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Everett P. Brady; her great-grandson, Nicholas Stimpson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and a brother, Carl Lee Grantham, Jr.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
