Services for Janet Lee Clark, of Camden, were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brownsville Baptist Church in Blenheim with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Clark, 78, passed peacefully on June 25, 2011.
Born in Cumberland, Maryland, May 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William August and Ruth Ann Knell. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her faithful pets. She was a sports enthusiast as well as an avid Gamecock fan. She was our very own "family meteorologist."
Survivors include her sons, C.O. Clark (Mary Ann) of Camden, SC, Danny (Jo Ann) of Bennettsville, SC; daughters, Bonnie Beckham of Camden, SC, Brenda Clark of Ridgeway, SC, Roxane Stevens (John) of Lugoff, SC, Britt Meranto (Keefer) of Anacostas, WA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Eva Clark, of Camden, SC.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll O. Clark, Sr.; sisters, Ruth Keane, Charlotte O'Rourke; and brother, William Knell.
She will be greatly missed by her family. They would like to express their sincere gratitude for the thoughtful and kind care provided by Drs. Mattar and Brooks, and the ICU medical staff at Kershaw Health Medical Center.
