A funeral service celebrating the life of John Allen Moak, 50, of Lugoff, will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the

Church cemetery. Rev. Eric Boone and Rev. Doug Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff

John, husband of Joy Talley Moak, was born in Camden, SC, the the son of Jasper English "Jack" Moak, Sr. and the late Ophelia Dowey Moak. Mr. Moak was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, the Draft Horse Association, the SC Donkey and Mule Association, and was an avid fisherman. He was employed by FN Manufacturing.

In addition to his wife, Joy and his father, Jack, Mr. Moak is survived by stepson Bud Talley (DeeDee) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Ethan "Monk" Talley and Ella Grace Talley; brothers Tommy Moak (Nita) and Jackie Moak, Jr. (Patti), both of Lugoff; father and mother-in-law,

Raymond Talley, Sr. and Dorothy Talley, of Columbia; sister-in-law Jane Peebles (Chris), brother-in-law Ray Talley, Jr. (Cindy), both of Lugoff; nieces Jill Moak Truesdale (Robert), Allison Moak, Kaitlin Moak, and Miranda Peebles Williams; nephew D.J. Hudson, great-niece Abigail Hinson, great nephews, Langston Watts and Jonathan Truesdale; Besides his Mother, he was predeceased by a niece, Jennifer Leigh Moak.
