A funeral service to celebrate the life of John Kershaw deLoach, Jr., 86, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Grace Episcopal Church in Camden. Father James Barnhill and Father Charles Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be W. Bratton deLoach, Jr., H. R. Dwight deLoach, Joseph K. deLoach, William Bratton Blake, Joseph P. Riley, III and Daniel W. Hanley. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas D. Ancrum, Ken Adams, Alfred Ehrenclou, Charles Hurst, Edward M. Royall, Dale Joyner, Phillip Joyner, James L. Guy II, Andrew Barlow, Jeff Tzerman, Moultrie Burns, Keith Barlow and Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Memorials may be made in his memory to Indian Waters Council, Boy Scouts of America, 715 Betsy Drive, Ste. B6, Columbia, SC 29210 or the charity of one’s choice.
John Kershaw deLoach, Jr. died Sunday, December 8, 2013. He was born in Camden, SC, the son of the late John K. and Jane Shannon deLoach. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Camden. John was in the Army and the Air Force Reserves and was a retired attorney.
Mr. deLoach Jr. is survived by his wife, Diane Joyner deLoach, step-daughter, Susan Rabon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and step-son, Scott Rabon of Lugoff, SC; sons, John K. deLoach III (Elizabeth) of Columbia, SC and Charles E. S. (Ted) deLoach (Martine) of Charleston, SC and their mother, Katherine Stone deLoach; grandchildren, Caroline, Shannon and Gibbes; and his beloved dog, Barclay.
