Funeral services to celebrate the life of John William “Billy“ Napper, age 65, of Camden will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel,        with burial to follow with military rites in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Freddie Wilson. The Napper family will receive friends Monday, November 12, 2012 from 6:00  to 7:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. The Napper family suggests memorials be made in Billy’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4200 Morganton Road, Suite 300, Fayetteville, NC 28312.         

Billy Napper, husband of Margie Shehane Napper was born in Camden, SC.  He was a son of   the late Charles W. King, I and the late Virginia Amerson King.             

Billy was a U. S. Marine Corps VietnamVeteran , was a recipient of the  Bronze Star with V for Valor and  was a member of the Marine Corps League. Billy was retired from DuPont after 32 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Besides his wife, Margie, he is survived by his daughter Holly Broughton (Kevin) of  Kershaw; his son Luke Napper of Camden ; Grandchildren, Madisyn, Hunter, Anslee, and Jake; Sisters, Vicki Mattis of Lugoff and Charlene Welch of Bethune ; Brothers Paul Napper  and Charles King both of Camden. He was predeceased by a brother, Jackie Napper.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
