Funeral services for John Mack Reynolds, 97, of Lugoff, SC will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Springvale Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 PM. Memorials may be made in his memory to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund.
Born in Lugoff, SC, Mr. Reynolds, widower of Fannie Bell Branham Reynolds, was the son of the late Pearl Evans Reynolds and David Emanuel Reynolds. He was a World War II veteran serving in the US Navy at Pearl Harbor, returning home from duty on the Saratoga. Mr. Reynolds was the owner and operator of Reynold’s Barbeque for 31 years, and was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his daughter Judy E. Clyburn (Bob) of Lugoff, son Bobby Gene Reynolds (Susan) of Bishopville, SC; eight grandchildren,, several great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and brother James E. Reynolds (Bertha) of Lugoff. He was predeceased by son John Henry Reynolds, infant daughter Catherine Reynolds, grandson Sean Bishop, and seven brothers and sisters.
