Funeral services to celebrate the life of John Henry Reynolds, 72, of Lugoff  were held Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Springvale Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Todd Horton officiated. The family received friends Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at  Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mr. Reynolds memory to Springvale Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 880, Lugoff, SC 29078.

Mr. Reynolds, widower of Peggy Ann Clark Reynolds, died Thursday, May 19, 2011. Born in Camden, he was the son of John “Mack” Reynolds and the late Fannie Branham Reynolds. He was a veteran of the SC National Guards.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame Bowani Racing Team, and  a member of Springvale Baptist Church.

Surviving are his father, John “Mack” Reynolds of Lugoff, daughter, Precious Reynolds of Camden; sons, Craig Allen Reynolds of Lugoff and Scott Reynolds and his wife Valecia of Lugoff ;  9 grandchildren; sister, Judy Clyburn and her husband Bob of Lugoff and brother Bobby Reynolds and his wife Susan of Bishopville. He was predeceased by a sister Catherine Reynolds. 

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
