Kathleen S. Boykin, 83, of 207 Ridge Street, St. George, widow of Ralph D. Boykin, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 25, 2012 at St. George United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Leonhardt and Reverend Wash Belangia officiating. Burial will be 5:00 PM at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Clayton, Steve Bilton, Gerald Igou, Marion Clayton, Larry Westbury and T.W. Reeves. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Young Christian Workers Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George.

Mrs. Boykin was born on November 6, 1928 in Providence Community, Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late James Allen and Lena Traxler Shuler. She was an office administrator at Boykin Furniture Store and a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, Camden. She was an associate member of St. George United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Missions Day Project, Young Christian Workers Sunday School Class and the Anna Rel Circle. Also, she was the Vice President of the Thursday Little Book Club and a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society.

Surviving is a son, James Russell Boykin, Evans, Georgia; a daughter, Debbie (Jimmy) Pate, Beaufort; a brother, James Edward Shuler, Holly Hill; grandchildren, James L. Pate, Charleston, Sarah Pate, Chicago, Russell Boykin, Charleston, Rutledge Boykin, Parker Boykin and Amelia Boykin, all of Augusta.
