Kathryn (Kathi) Howard Wallace went to be with her Heavenly Father Saturday July 12, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilma (Armstrong) and Eugene Howard. Kathi was born on October 06, 1953 in Patterson, NJ. She worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement for most of her career. She enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping and spending time with her family and moved to South Carolina in 2009. Kathi was a long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign wars of the U.S. She served as President of the Elgin VFW Post 11079, and was active in their programs. She will be best remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Kathi leaves behind her loving husband, Jimmy Lee Wallace; her children, Joseph F. McCloskey III and Stefanie Richardson. She also had four step-children, Amy White, Jimmie Lee Wallace Jr., Amanda Saylor and George Belleville. Her family includes her sisters, Yolanda Treiguts, Wendi Combs, Cindi Howard, Joni Howard, and brother Terry Howard. Kathi especially loved all 14 of her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday July 18, 2014 in the chapel of Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin, 1139 Hwy 1 South, Lugoff, SC, with burial following at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SC VFW Veterans Service Program, 210 Glassmaster Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
