A memorial service to honor the life of Kenneth Barnes Hill, 89, of Camden, SC, will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Rev. John Hallman will officiate. Kenneth died Friday, April 21, 2017. He was born in Sumter, SC, the son of the late Kenneth Benjamin Hill and Lucille Barnes Hill. Kenneth served in the US Navy. He graduated in 1944 from Edmunds High School in Sumter and received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and was very active in civic affairs as well as his church. He was the former owner of Hill Plumbing Company.

Kenneth is survived by his sister, Jennie Hill Owen of Chattanooga, TN; a special niece, Farise McIntosh of Bishopville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Sarah Rozier Hill; sisters, Iris Hill Edens and Myrle Hill Purcell; and his brother, Francis Leverne Hill.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden, Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
