A service to celebrate the life of Kristen Amodio Baker, 21, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Keith Coates will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

Kristen passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014.  Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of David Amodio and Jacqueline Young McCall.  She was a 2010 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School.  She enjoyed spending time at the beach, golf, music and playing sports.

Surviving are her husband, James Paul Baker; father, David Amodio of Columbia; mother, Jackie McCall (Chuck) of Kershaw; sisters, Melissa Amodio of Columbia and Madison Amodio of Kershaw; brother, Zachary Worley of Kershaw; paternal grandfather, Angelo A. Amodio (Margaret); maternal grandmother, Ilse “Oma” Young; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was predeceased by paternal grandmother, Maria Amodio; and maternal grandfather, James “Papa” Young.
