A memorial mass for Lavinia Rodgers Sterzinger, 77, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Father John Zimmerman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Mrs. Sterzinger passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Master Willard and Ruth Outlaw Rodgers. Mrs. Sterzinger graduated from a nursing program at Camden Hospital. She worked as a register nurse for Cortland Memorial Hospital for 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Groton Fire Department. She enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are her husband, James G. Sterzinger; daughters, Anita Mulligan of Buffalo, N.Y., Karen Flynn of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Maura Mulligan, Emma Flynn, Adain Flynn; and a sister, Joyce Piper (Ralph) of Camden.
