Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Ida Lee Smith Caskey, 89, of Camden will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM in First Baptist Church, Camden with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM in the Fellowship Center of First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Caskey’s memory to First Baptist Church, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Caskey, widow of C. Stanford Caskey, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Murray Smith and Willie David Jeffers Smith Chandler. She was the Co-Owner of Caskey’s IGA, a member of the Wateree Wanderers and the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat Abbott of Columbia, Tammie McGuire and her husband Ron of Summerville and Deborah Burgess of Lugoff; grandchildren, Pam Burch and her husband Phillip, Craig Fredette and his wife Stephanie, Robby Mosier and his wife Page, Mac McGuire and his wife Krista, Chuck Mosier, and Teri Lee Graham and her husband Marc; seven great grandchildren and her brother, Joseph Murray Smith and his wife Virginia of Camden. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Alan Burgess.

Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
