Mrs. Leona Lee Burdette, 84, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 in Columbia, SC. 

Graveside funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley, SC with the Rev. Dr. W. Timothy McClendon officiating. 

Mrs. Burdette was born in Belle, WV to the late Ted and Grace Lee. She was a homemaker to her loving family and a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and the Aiken Hospital Auxiliary. 

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Lee Burdette, Camden, SC; three grandchildren, James Thomas Biggins, Lee Ellen Weiland, Grayson Wade Biggins; five great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Lee Perrine, Parkersburg, WV and a lifelong family friend, Jan Posey, Camden, SC 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burdette is predeceased by her husband, Howard Grayson Burdette; a son, Thomas Howard Burdette; and a sister, Janey Lee Dorsey. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to South Carolina Alzheimer’s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621, Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P. O. 3694, Aiken, SC 29802 or to a charity of one’s choice.
