A graveside service to celebrate the life of Lois F. Peach, 86, of Camden, SC, will be held Thursday, November, 12 at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Peach’s memory to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020 or to Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P. O Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29640 or to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020. 

Lois F. Peach, widow of Thomas J. “Tom” Peach, Jr., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was surrounded by her family and beloved pets at the time of her departure from this earthly world. She was born in Asheville, NC in 1928, the daughter of the late Daniel Blaxton and Laura Case Foster. After graduation from the University of North Caroline at Asheville, she completed an internship at Mercy Hospital in New Orleans. She then came to Camden, SC in 1951 to work at Camden Hospital and ended her professional career as a register nurse with the late Dr. Paul Wood. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Camden, where she taught Sunday school for the children and adult classes for over 25 years.

Mrs. Peach is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth ”Beth” Peach of Camden; son, Thomas J. “Tom” Peach, III (May) of Columbia, SC; grandsons, Douglas Dowling Peach of Bloomington, IN. and Daniel Dowling Peach of Decatur, GA.

She was predeceased in 2002 by Thomas J. Peach, Jr. her loving husband of 50 years and by a brother, Felix Foster of Asheville.
