A graveside service to celebrate the life of Loretta Wiles Gamble, 78, Lugoff will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elgin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Gamble’s memory to Epworth Children’s Home, 2900 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205.

Mrs. Gamble, widow of William Aiken Gamble, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Born in Jamestown, SC, she was the daughter of William H. and Hallie Bochette Wiles. Mrs. Gamble was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where she joined in 1968 and was very active and served as treasurer for United Methodist Women.

Surviving are her daughter, Marilyn (Ralph) of Walterboro; son, Ken Gamble of Lugoff; grandchildren, Daniel Watts (Kerri), Joey Moore and Janet Sykes; great-grandchildren, Owen and Aidan Watts, Austin Sykes. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Pope and Gwendolyn Thomas; brothers, Billy and Everett Wiles.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
