A funeral service celebrating the life of Loy Cody McLeod, 89, of Camden, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Beulah United Methodist Church in Camden. The Rev. Patricia Amick and Rev. Steve Lee will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. McLeod’s memory to Beulah United Methodist Church.
Loy Cody McLeod, wife of the late Frank Grier McLeod, Sr., was born in Marshall, NC, daughter of the late Henry Cody and Belle Crane Cody. She was a member of the Beulah United Methodist Church for over 70 years. Mrs. McLeod was an integral part of the Sheorn Jewelers family for many years. In 1952, Fralo Farms was established by she and her husband, Frank. They achieved various awards honoring their hard work and dedication within the agriculture community.
Loy is survived by her daughters, Priscilla McLeod, of Sumter and Frankie M. Todt (Mark), of Greensboro, NC; son, Frank Grier “Mac” McLeod, Jr. (Sandi), of Camden; 5 granddaughters , Ashley McLeod Jackson (Josh), Courtney Moak Dickey (Kyle), Katie Todt Clapp (Frank), Olivia Brooke Todt, and Anna McLeod Todt; an; sister-in-law, Bunny McLeod. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Della Katherine McLeod; 2 brothers, Carl Cody and Wayne Cody; 2 sisters, Margaret Cody and Eloise Roberts.
