A Celebration of Life for “the sweetest lady ever born who was called to Heaven” on May 31, 2017, Margaret Yarbrough Buckholz, 94, of Cassatt, SC, was held at Quaker Cemetery at 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 4, 2017. Jack and Sally Burdin officiated. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020 or the Boykin Spaniel Society, PO Box 2047, Camden, SC 29020.

Margaret was born in Bethune, SC, the daughter of the late Charles F. Yarbrough and Pauline Hilton Yarbrough. Margaret graduated from Limestone College and met her husband in Georgetown while serving the USO while he was serving the US Navy during WWII. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church who loved her children, family and animals.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Betsye White (Tom) of Camden; son, Howard W. “Buck” Buckholz, Jr. (Debra) of Cassatt; grandchildren, Adam (Laura), Daniel, Staci (Daniel) and Kimberly (Jody); great-grandchildren, Gabbi, Blake, Caleb and Titan; brother, Marion “Doodle” Yarbrough (Dot) of Cassatt; and nieces, Sherri Dean (Reggie) and Brenda Cincotta (John)

Margaret was predeceased by her parents; husband, Howard W. “Buck” Buckholz, Sr.; 

The family would like to thank caregivers, Melissa Hinson, Amanda Hopkins, Tonia Peletier, Marie Byrd, Dee Branham and Kershaw Health Hospice for the loving care given Mrs. Buckholz.
