Margaret Elizabeth Brown Garner, 65, of Camden, SC, left to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, January 16, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Garner was the former Margaret Elizabeth Brown born in Lancaster, SC to the late Margaret Stokes Brown and Woodrow Brown.

Margaret was a devoted wife of 49 years to her husband, Jimmy Harold Garner, Sr. She committed her life to caring for her husband, children and the many friends she made in their restaurant, Haile Street Grill. She ministered God’s love to everyone who met her.

Margaret loved her children and leaves behind Beth Morgan (Benny) and Timothy Garner. She was predeceased by her son, Jimmy Harold “Buddy” Garner, Jr. with whom she is rejoicing now.

Margaret’s siblings include: Peggy Darlene Brown Branham (David); Wanda Louise Brown Gause (Tommy), and Jerry Woodrow Brown. She was also predeceased by her sister Debra Gail Brown Moss. She was a devoted grandmother to Rebecca Elizabeth Branham, Benjamin Alias “Buddy” Morgan, and Joshua Curtis Morgan. She loved her many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today, January 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Lugoff Church of God. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friends Monday, January 18, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.

The family would like to thank their church family at Lugoff Church of God and all the staff of Kershaw Health Homecare and Hospice.
