On Wednesday, November 3, 2010, Mary Hall, 95, of Camden, SC went home to be with the Lord after a long illness. In the months of her illness she was surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and beloved "grand-dog" at the home of her daughter in TN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Theophilus M. Hall, parents, William and Essie Ratcliff, brother Neil Ratcliff, and sister Annie Ruth McDowell.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her children, Susan Hall, Nancy Hall Hertwig and husband Bob, grandchildren, Jennifer Parker Zimmerman and husband Bill, Jonathan Hertwig and wife Crystal, great-grandchildren, Justin & Matthew Zimmerman, and Kira Hertwig all of TN, sisters, Drucilla King of Cassatt, SC, Jo Best and husband Bill of Charlotte, NC, and Esther McCaskill and husband Marvin of Bethune, SC. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mary was a lifelong member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church of Camden. She was very involved in the 55+ group and also the women’s church circle. She was loved by all who ever knew her. She was always encouraging to those she met. She lived out the message of the Holy Bible. She was the Proverbs 31 woman.

She was the most amazing mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. She has left a legacy to be coveted. Her life has symbolized peace and love, joy and contentment. She taught us all how to be better people. Her love for the Lord and doing His will was evident in everything she ever laid her hands to. Her love for her family was unconditional and without limit. We draw comfort in knowing we will see her again one day. She has been the most amazing example and special blessing in our lives. She will be missed and remembered every day. Her sense of humor lives on in us. May God see fit to make us more like her.
