A memorial service celebrating the life of Mary Kennedy Robinson, 72, of Camden, will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church in Camden. Pastor Angela Jennings will officiate. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 noon at the church. Memorials may be made in Mary’s memory to St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 1301 Mill Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Mary Kennedy Robinson was the daughter of the late Shannon Ray Kennedy and Matylou Loadholt Kennedy. She was born on December 19, 1939 in Sycamore, SC and passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2012 after a lengthy battle with a rare blood disorder. Mary was a member of the first graduating class of Allendale-Fairfax High School in 1957. Mary worked as an executive secretary at DuPont for 14 years. She was Vice President of Camden Parts, Inc., where she worked with her husband, Charles, for many years. Mary was a faithful member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles A. Robinson, Sr.; Her children, Andy Robinson and his wife, Laura, of Lake Wylie, daughter, Shannon Robinson Orr and her husband Denny of Manassas, VA; grandchildren, Jordan and Kennedy Robinson, Denton and Reilly Orr; brother, Charles Kennedy (Julia Ann); sisters, Ann Tyler and Martha Jane Vincent (John ). Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Harry and Robert Ray Kennedy.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
