Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Wilson Roberts, 72, of Baltimore, Maryland, formerly of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Mrs. Roberts was born September 4, 1939. She was the daughter of the late John Wilson, Sr. and the late Lillie Belle Oliver Wilson. She was predeceased by one brother Clarence Leon Wilson and one step-sister Annie Lee Miller. She was a member of the 1958 graduating class of Jackson High School.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years Roderick Everett Roberts, four sons Stephone, Reginald (Christa), and Donald of Baltimore, and Roderick, Jr. (Teresa) of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren Cornell, Tony, and Jessica, one great-grandchild Alyssa, four sisters
Lula Lloyd and Clara Evans of Camden, Katie Harrison (Lucious) of Baltimore, and Shirley Watkins of Orangeburg, South Carolina; two brothers John Wilson, Jr. of Camden and Elder Marion Wilson (Gwen) of Rock Hill, South Carolina, special nephews Larry Lloyd of Baltimore and Jackie Wilson (Lucinda) of Camden, special family friend William H. Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunt, and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at St. Mark Institutional Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joseph Richey Hospice at 838 Eutaw Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201 or to the church at 655 Bentalou Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21216.
