Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mildred Ratliff Hays, 91, of Camden, will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 10, 2011 beginning at 11:30 AM until service time in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Hays, widow of Ernest Frederick Hays, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Born in Iaeger, WV she was the daughter of the late Sherman Ratliff and Amanda Bean Griffin. She was a retired school teacher in Wyoming County, WV. Mrs. Hays was a member of the Educators Sorority and an avid bridge player. She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church where she was very involved and served on various committees.

Mrs. Hays is survived by her son, Ernest F. Hays, II and his wife Beth of Bluefield,WV; granddaughter, Erin Stephens and her husband Erik of Charlotte, NC; great granddaughter, Rylee Hays Stephens and sisters, Agnes Rudberg of Sun City, FL and Pauline Lucado of Bradenton, FL. She was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy Ford, Inez Ratliff and Nancy Evans.
