A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mildred West Rush, 86, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. Burial will follow in Malvern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mildred’s memory to Save the Strays Animal Rescue at www.savethestrays.org. 

Mildred West Rush, widow of Guy W. Rush, died Thursday, January 21, 2016. She was born in Camden, SC, the daughter of the late Ernest J. West and Addie Gardner West. Mildred was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Donna Gail Campbell (Bill); granddaughter, Jeri Lynn Rabon (Keith) of Elgin, SC; grandson, Aaron Solis (Faye) of Camden, great-grandchildren Jerome A. Rabon and Britany N. Rabon (Van); great-great-grandchildren, Adam G. Solis, Addison Solis, Tristan Minger and Kendal Minger sister, Shirley A. Woolson (Glenn) of Casper, WY; 2 step-daughters, Dorothy Worthy of NY and Carolyn Cline of Camden, SC; nieces, Jennifer Woolson Fullerton, Becky Broadway and Tina Langley; and nephews, J. R. Woolson, Glenn West and Jerry West.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Rush was predeceased by her brother, Ernest J. West, Jr.
