Monroe Lee

Mr. Monroe Lee, 87, of 205 Laurens St., Camden, passed away Friday morning. He was the husband for 62 years of Suzanne Lee. He was the son of the late Burnie and Janie Reed Lee.

Mr. Lee was a World War II veteran. He was a dedicated member of the McRae Road Church of God. He worked for 38 years as a truck driver with Thomas and Howard.

He leaves his wife, Suzanne Lee; children Audret Clark (Terry), Annette Stradford (Daniel), Kaynard Lee (Octavia), and Jewel Hopkins (Timothy); two sisters, Edna Byrd (Russell) and Carnell Arrington: two sister-in-laws, Annie Grace Lee and Fracena Bolden; grandchildren and relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, at noon at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Visitation with family and viewing from 11 to 12 at the church. Interment will be in Ceder Cementary.

Cooke Funeral Home was entrusted with the service.
