Myron Oscar Fulda, 80, died Monday, December 06, 2010 at 11:55 AM in his home in Camden, SC. His family was with him. He was the son of the late Max Charles Fulda and Nellie Jeanette Vink Fulda. Mr. Fulda was born March 18, 1930 on Staten Island, NY and grew up in Rochester, NY. He received his Associate’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY and graduated from Iowa State University, Ames, IA with a BS degree in Chemical Technology and a MS degree in Analytical Chemistry. Mr. Fulda was a retired chemist with E. I. duPont de Nemours and Company, having assignments at the Savannah River Laboratory in, Aiken, SC, the Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, VA, and the May Plant in Camden, SC. He was an Emeritus Member of the American Chemical Society. Mr. Fulda was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. He was also active with the Camden Lions Club, serving many years as Chairman of the Sight Committee, and was a former Docent for the SC State Museum.

Mr. Fulda is survived by his wife, Joanne Kearse Fulda; his children, Max Kearse Fulda and his wife, Kay Capell Fulda of Anderson, SC, Joanna Fulda Giudice and her husband Thomas Patrick Giudice of Columbia, SC, John Eric Fulda and his wife Barbie Anders Fulda of Columbia, SC ; grandchildren, Jill Marie Gaskins, Madeline Rose Giudice, Zoe Elizabeth Giudice, Anna Grace Fulda, and Jack William Fulda; sister, Clara Fulda Reiber and her husband George Rudolph Reiber of Rochester, NY and by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Cornelius Fulda.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, Camden, SC. Following the service the family will receive friends at their home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Fulda’s memory to the Camden Lions Club, PO Box 587, Camden SC 29020 or to Food for the Soul, c/o Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC.
