A graveside funeral service to celebrate the life of Myrtle Parker Cox, 92, will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. The family received friends on Thursday, Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

Myrtle passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Springdale Healthcare in Camden, S.C.. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Donnie Wallace and Carroll Lucas Parker.

She was married to the late Robert A. Cox. She is survived by her son, Danny C. Parker (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Patty Boone, Lorrie Parker, Ashley Price (Dustyn), and Daniel Parker (Jenny); nine great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Myrtle was predeceased by her son, King Cox; seven brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
