Mrs. Cannon, widow of Calvin Judson Cannon, died Thursday, December 12, 2013. Born in Leesville, SC on April 20, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Holland Bedenbaugh, and Geneva Oswald Bedenbaugh.

She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension where she served her church family in many capacities.

Affectionately called "Grand-C" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and butterflies, working in her garden, and her greatest passion in life was her family.

Surviving are her daughter, Sylvia Cannon Varn and husband, Hal, of Lugoff; granddaughters, Allyson Varn Monferdini and husband, Rad, and Heather Varn Costello; great-grandchildren, Joshua Cannon Monferdini, Hadley Christine Costello, Colton James Costello; and sister, Trudie Epting. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, SeDeris Bedenbaugh, Modell Shirey, and Muriel Rikard.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Rice Estate Lutheran Home, and Lutheran Hospice for their dedicated care of Mrs. Cannon and loving assistance to the family.

Mother, you have been a wonderful mother, role model, and best friend. You have now achieved the greatest gift of all, to be with our Heavenly Father.
