Graveside services celebrating the life of Norma Parker Rainwater, 89, of Camden, SC will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Steve Patterson and Rev. David Weaver will officiate. Memorials may be made in Norma’s memory to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton St., Camden, SC 29020.

Norma Parker Rainwater, wife of Tom Rainwater, was born in Darlington, SC, the daughter of the late Wilhelmina and A. Floyd Parker. Norma served in the US Navy for 2 ½ years and was a Yeoman 1st Class. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a double major in English and Psychology and later was a social worker for the SC Department of Social Services. She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, was former secretary of her Circle and Norma was also a former Garden Club Member.

Norma is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Eric Rainwater; daughter, Jane Rainwater of Greenville, SC; son, Thomas Eric Rainwater, Jr. (Xuan), of Milpitas, CA; grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, and Chloe Rainwater.

Besides her parents, Norma was predeceased by brothers, A. F. Parker, Jr. and Cecil Parker; and her sister, Dorothy Louise Parker.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
