Services for Patricia “Pat” Azalee Hallman Deal, 80, of Lake Wateree, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 22 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Camden, SC, with the Rev. John Hallman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in John Knox Hall at the church. Memorials may be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church 502 E. DeKalb St. Camden, SC 29020-4438.
Mrs. Deal, wife of the late Jack Deal, passed away on Thursday, June 18. She was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Hallman and Lucielle Moore Hallman. Born in Lancaster, SC, she was co-owner of Deal’s Marina on Lake Wateree for 25 years, with her husband, Jack. She was also a teacher’s aide at Pine Tree Hill Elementary School for many years. She had a love for antiques and worked for many years at Camden Antique Mall. Pat was a graduate of Camden High School and attended Winthrop College. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, Camden Junior Welfare League and the Lake Wateree Association. She was a Sunday school teacher at Bethesda and a Brownie leader. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales and collecting antique dolls. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew her. Everything she touched she made beautiful.
Surviving are her daughter, Suzanne Deal Reeves (Gerald) of Lake Wateree; son, John M. “Johnny” Deal, Jr. (Annah) of Camden; four grandchildren; Rachel Webb Elliott (Chris), 1st Lt. James C. “Jimmy” Webb, III, (Tracy), Margaret Lane Deal and Emily Caroline Deal; four great grandchildren, Samuel Christopher Elliott, Adlee Rose Elliott, James Calvin Webb, IV, and Jonathan Evan Webb; ; sister, Priscilla Hallman Reksc (John) of The Woodlands, TX; nephew, John Adam Reksc, III and niece, Laura Moore Reksc Rich (Kirk) .
The family would like to thank the staffs of Morningside of Camden, Abbey Road Hospice and Springdale Healthcare for the care given to Pat during her battle with Parkinson and Dementia.
