A memorial service to honor the life of Paul Wilson Clem, Jr., 76, of Kershaw, will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 305 West Church Street, Kershaw, SC with inurnment in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at a later date. Rev. Hope Avins and Rev. Mike Morales will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Clem's memory to Regency Hospice, 420 South Herlong Ave., Suite 104, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Mr. Clem died Tuesday, February 14, 2012. He was born in Fairmont, WV, the son of the late Paul W. Clem Sr. and Sylvia Heaney Clem. He was a US Marine veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired from the South Carolina national Guard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kershaw, SC, and he loved to sail.
Surviving are his wife Ellen Spence Clem; daughter Sabrina Morales and her husband Mike of Columbia; sons, Bill Clem and his wife Becky of Kershaw, Jerry Clem of Columbia, Matt Clem of Kershaw, Scott Clem and his wife Tammy Bonaire, GA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother David Clem of Almena, WI.
