A private service for Paul Ellis Rowell, 69, will be held in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or ALS Association.

Mr. Rowell passed away at home on Sunday, April 2, 2017.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Ellis and Wilma Christmas Rowell.  He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He retired from DuPont where he was an electrician.

Mr. Rowell was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden where he volunteered with the audio support team for many years.  He enjoyed traveling, photography and loved music.  Mr. Rowell treasured the time he spent with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Deborah McPeak “Debbie” Rowell; daughter, Nancy Lamontagne (Paul); son, Timothy Rowell; brothers, Travis Rowell (M.J.); and sister, Martha Magee (John).
