A graveside service to celebrate the life of Phyllis Cash Saunders, 91, of Camden, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 at Quaker Cemetery, Camden. Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Phyllis died Sunday, March 4, 2018, one day before her 92nd birthday. She was feisty and lovable, smart and always adorable.  She was born in Staunton, VA, the daughter of the late Adolphus Wade Cash and Sophie Mae Thompson Cash. She was a child of 15 and was predeceased by all of her siblings. Phyllis was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Pamela Saunders Sherborne (Bob) of Nashville, TN; son, Roy Kenneth Saunders, III of Greenville, VA:  grandchildren, Laura Sherborne and Sophie Sherborne Petrosyan (Avag) and great grandchild, Cora Petrosyan.

Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Roy Kenneth Saunders, Jr., and daughter, Deborah Saunders Garris.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
