Ralph Alan Schneck, Sr., 81, of Lugoff, SC, went home to be with his Savior on January 29, 2014. Alan, as he liked to be called, was born in Weirsdale, FL, May 24, 1932. He owned and operated Alan’s Market in Lugoff. Alan’s most important decision was made back in the early 70’s when he admitted he was a sinner and placed his faith and trust in Jesus Christ. He went from being an alcoholic to a servant of God. His words of encouragement will be missed but his legacy lives on.
Alan leaves behind Mary Schneck, his wife of 55 years; three daughters and a son; Linda Carlson and her husband Joe of Lugoff, SC, Ralph Schneck and his wife Melissa of Lexington, SC, Lois Lantz and her husband John of RPB, FL, Flora Colboch and her husband Gary of Hartsville, SC; his nine grandchildren, Hollie, Joey, Courtney, Emily, Bethany, Philip, Johnny, Ryan and Lindsay as well as his brother Mealy Reed and his wife, Velma, of Weirsdale, FL and his sister, Lillian Perry, and her husband Juddy of Belleview, FL.
Two celebration services are planned; one on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11:00AM at Kornegay Chapel in Lugoff and one on Sunday, February 2, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Lexington, SC. Officiating the services will be Mike Welch, Gary Colboch and Ralph Schneck. In lieu of flowers, send memorial gifts to FBLex Missions, 415 Barr Rd. Lexington, SC 29072.
