Funeral services to celebrate the life and legacy of Rebecca "Rob" S. Love will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hermitage Baptist Church in Camden, SC. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Sacks of Love, c/o Hermitage Baptist Church, 814 Jefferson Davis Highway, Camden, SC 29020 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.

Born in Ft. Mill, SC on January 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Robert Smith and Reba Walker Smith. Rob was the last survivor of 14 siblings. Her survivors include daughter, Judy Hughes (Marion) of Simpsonville, SC; son, Eddie Love (Darlene) of Camden, SC; grandson, Trey Love (Kendall) of Columbia, SC; great-grandchildren Macie and Ryan Love; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Edwin Love.

Rob was president of the student body at Anderson Jr. College. She was an Associate of Belk Department Store in Charlotte, NC and Walterboro, SC. Rob retired from Colleton County DSS.

Rob loved to bring joy to others by sharing with them gifts from her talents of cooking and cross-stitching. As a member of Hermitage Baptist Church, she served as former chairman of the hostess committee.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by William Ward, M.D.; Karen Robinson, P.A.; Selma & Staff of Pleasantburg Dialysis Center; Special caregiver, Polly Bailey; Staff of Rolling Green Village and the McCall Hospice House.
