A graveside service for the Rev. Pete Lynwood Debruhl, 85, was held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Lynn Gardner officiated. The family recieved friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Rev. Debruhl passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Lonnie and Sarah Darity Debruhl. Rev. Debruhl pastored at Beaverdam Baptist, Harmony Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Socastee Baptist, Oakey Swamp Baptist, Galivants Ferry Baptist, and conducted a service in P.D. State Park.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Currie Debruhl; children, Donna Bridwell (Tony) of Abbeville; Robin Causey (Albert) of Aynor; daughter-in-law, Patsy Debruhl; sister, Margaret Elliott of Camden; brother, Ted Debruhl of Camden; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by children, Randy Debruhl, Kimberly Debruhl; and several brothers and sisters.

Pastor Debruhl would want to let everyone know, “Sunday’s Coming.”
