Rhea J. Polson of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Cartwright Care Center, age 76 years.
Rhea Houk was born in Hills- dale, Michigan July 21, 1934, the daughter of the late Emory and Jean (Bailey) Houk. She married Alvo W. Polson July 19, 1958 and he survives her.
Rhea was an Occupational Therapist for the Saginaw Intermediate School District, retiring in 1999. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Rhea is survived by two sons and their spouses, Charles (Nancy Jo) Polson and William (Lisa) Polson; three granddaughters, Emily C. Polson, Lauren J. Polson and Claire A. Polson; a brother, David (Julie) Houk; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Houk and Peggy Houk; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Dr. Cornelius Bailey Houk and Peter Houk.
A memorial service took place 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Carol Johns officiated. Friends visited the family at the chapel February 25 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on February 26 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service.
