Mrs. Robin Whitman Brittain, 58, passed away at the beautiful house she made into a home, October 14, 2017. Robin was born June 3, 1959 to Betty Bodford Whitman and the late Henry Abraham (Abe) Whitman. A Winston-Salem native, Robin was well known for her love of her North Carolina roots. She was a supportive Army wife, loving mother, compassionate friend, and strong Christian woman. She is best remembered sitting on her front porch with her dogs on her lap or sitting on the beach with her toes in the sand listening to the waves.

Throughout Robin’s career, she was devoted to serving many non-profit organizations in business and accounting positions. After proudly graduating from the High Point University MBA Program, Robin continued to proudly serve as a dedicated accountant for the Junior League of Greensboro, where she met many devoted colleagues and closest friends.

Robin is survived by her loving husband Rickie Roger Brittain; daughter, Mariah Megan Brittain; mother, Betty Bodford Whitman; and her sister, Dr. Debbie Whitman Herman (Kenneth W.) of Camden, South Carolina. Robin was a loving stepmother for Shane Brittain (Angie) and granddaughter for Callie Brittain.  Additionally, She was a special Auntie for Dr. Emily A. Huggins (Bobby W.) and Olivia H. Cobb (R. Shaun); and an amazing Grauntie for Madelyn Huggins, Wyatt and Gavin Cobb. Robin had an overwhelming legacy of friendships throughout her beautiful life.

Robin’s service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem with Pastor Christi Taylor officiating. The family requests all attending the memorial service to please bring a seashell in memory of Robin and her love of the beach. In lieu of flowers, Robin requested donations be made to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation at her personalized webpage – http://tnbcmemorials.kintera.org/BrittainRobin.
