Roland O. Rabon Sr. was born on May 19, 1934, in a log cabin on Longtown Road in Lugoff, S.C., the third child and oldest son of the late Carl and Nellie Barfield Rabon. He died May 18, 2020, a few hours short of his 86th birthday, in Camden, S.C.
