TAUNTON, MA -- Sallie Canada of Camden, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at age 78, on May 18, 2016, in the company of her devoted family. She was born on May 22nd, 1937, in Liberty Hill and raised in Camden before moving to New York with her husband, Daniel Howard Canada and her children. Born the fourth child of thirteen, she is survived by her own three children, Sabrina, Daniel and Ella, her son-in-law’s Jeffrey and Brian, as well as three grandchildren, Donovan, Marguerite and Daniel. She is also survived by her sisters, Josephine, Elizabeth and Ella Rene. After raising her family, Sallie Canada went on to get her bachelor’s degree in education at Touro College, New York and became a school teacher. She was a devout Jehovah’s Witness who joyfully served as a full-time minister for 40 years. Visiting hours were be held Sunday, May 22nd at Crapo - Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Avenue in Taunton, Massachusetts. The Memorial Talk will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 2:00 PM, at the Taunton Kingdom Hall, 2 Vailla court Street, Taunton Crapo-Hathaway Home for Funerals, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, MA.
