A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dr. Louisa Shannon DuBose, 84, of Camden will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm in Bethesda Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service in John Knox Hall. Rev. Dr. William F. Summers will officiate. Memorials may be made in Dr. DuBose’s memory to Historic Camden, 222 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020

Dr. DuBose died Monday February 21, 2011. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Allison Perkins DuBose and Frances Bell Easley DuBose. She was a retired Professor of Philosophy.

She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her sister, Frances Easley DuBose Lindsay and her husband Nicholas Cave Lindsay of Edisto Island; nieces, Karen Shannon Lindsay of Camden, Elizabeth Randolph Lindsay of Charleston, Maria Allison Lindsay Collier of Hendersonville, NC, Nancy Hyde Lindsay Henry of Atlanta, GA., Emily Doniphan Lindsay Spirason of Windsor, Australia, Louisa Tenney Lindsay Sprouse of Eugene, OR., Charlotte Franzee Lindsay Greff of Harskirchen, France; nephews, Nicholas Cave Lindsay, Jr. of Edisto Island, Edward DuBose Lindsay of South Orange, NJ. and David Austen Lindsay of Brooklyn, NY, and numerous great and great-great nephews and nieces.
