Quinby, SC - Funeral services for Mr. Tyrone J’Von McKenney was conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Southern Calvary Baptist Church, Florence. Burial followed in Florence National Cemetery.  He died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Franklin, IN.

Tyrone, son of Otho James, Sr. and Daisy Lee Adams McKenney, was born November 1, 1963 in Camden, SC. He graduated from Camden High School in 1982. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served from 1982-2002. After the military, he drove long haul trucks throughout the United States.

He was currently a member of Southern Calvary Baptist Church in Florence, SC where he was Deacon Elect.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his identical twin brother Jerome; and sisters, Leila and Delia.

Survivors are: his wife of 31 years, Lisa McKenney; their three children, India, Tilysha, and Tyrone McKenney II; granddaughter, Skylar; loving pet and travel companion, Dixie; brothers, Supt. Otho James (Janet) McKenney Jr. of Columbia, SC; Samuel (Geraldine) McKenney of Knightdale, NC; Rev. Dr. John (Rev. Peggy) McKenney of Florence, SC; Daniel (Erica) McKenney, Joseph McKenney and Willis McKenney, all of Camden, SC, and  Ishaq Muhammad Ali (Estelle) Salahuddin of Fairview Heights, IL; sisters, Lottie Bracey and Carolina (Harold) Cauthen, both of Camden, SC; Rebecca (Michael) Goodwin of Columbia, SC,  and Mary (Victor) Johnson of Atlanta GA; a niece reared as a daughter, La’Niya; one uncle, Dr. C.A. (Rachel) McKenney of Florence, SC; six aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
