Mr. William "Bill" Carlos entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Kershaw Health. He was born in Camden, South Carolina, on February 19, 1929, to the late John and Ida Carlos. He was educated in the public schools of Kershaw County. He attended Kirkwood Elementary School and graduated from Jackson High School. He later worked as a presser and tailor at a local cleaners. Bill lived the majority of his adult life in Mt. Vernon, New York. He retired from the New York Sanitation Department prior to relocating to Camden, South Carolina. Bill received Christ as his Savior and became a member of Camden First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his later years in life with is wife, Christina Carlos. Those left to cherish his memory, celebrate his life, and mourn his loss include his devoted wife, Christina Carlos and one sister, Mary E. Washington of Camden, South Carolina; two daughters, Sharon (Arthur) Davis of Mt. Vernon, New York and Valerie Thomas of Yonkers, New York; one son, Avery Reddick of Evans, Georgia; three sisters-in-law; a special family friend, Maria W. Macklin seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 11 AM at Camden First UMC.
