William Robert (Bob) Cook of Liberty Hill, SC formerly of Monroe, NC passed away on December 4, 2017. He was born in Monroe on April 10, 1934 to the late Marvin and Sarah Cook. Bob was known to have had many different jobs but was most proud of his service as Deputy Sherriff of Union County. Bob was a longtime member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his sisters Ruby Edwards and Barbara Ann Blanchard.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carole; nephews, Stacy, Kenneth and Douglas Keziah and Robert Blanchard; nieces, Tamara Sistare, Lisa Blanchard and Karol Griffin, all of Monroe and his goddaughter, Angela Jones of Waxhaw.
A visitation will be held at noon today, December 8, 2017 at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe; Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. and conducted by Rev. Gene Ghent and Rev. Dorothy Killian. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church 20 Meeting Lane, Liberty Hill, SC In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Bob’s honor to the LHPC General Fund.
