4-H teen council president
Isabella Birket
Newly elected S.C. 4-H Teen Council President Isabella Birket, of Kershaw County, is congratulated by Kershaw County 4-H Agent Sara Marcengill during the annual 4-H Awards Banquet reception.

Kershaw County 4-H is recognizing new 2019-2020 South Carolina 4-H Teen Council President Isabella Birket of Kershaw County. After winning a successful campaign, Isabella will serve as the co-coordinator (along with the state 4-H teen council advisor) for the State 4-H Congress. As president, she will ensure that all members complete their responsibilities. Council members are expected to work together as a team, and with appropriate 4-H faculty, staff and volunteers. In addition to becoming the 4-H State teen council president, Isabella will also attend the National 4-H Conference -- an intensive, week-long leadership and citizenship program designed to involve teens, volunteers and professionals in national and state program development. Through a variety of workshops, participants have an opportunity to advise and make recommendations on topics identified as important to 4-H. Isabella also received the highest award for 4-H in the State of South Carolina based on her portfolio work. These are some of the highest honors in 4-H.
